Lizzie Borden was born July 19, 1860 in Fall River, Massachusetts, to a wealthy family. Her mother, Sarah, died when she was a child. Her father, Andrew, later married Abby Durfee Gray. On August 4th, 1892, Andrew and Abby Borden were murdered at home. Lizzie was arrested after making contradictory statements to the police about the murders.
